From the instant you enter our Shopping Cart, you are on a Yahoo! Secure Server, utilizing SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology which protects your credit card and personal information by encryption when transmitted to our credit card processor and is stored in a secure environment.

This means your credit card number is scrambled during the transaction process and, unlike in a traditional store, no human ever comes into contact with your credit card number during the approval process.

Shimmer & Stone only secures the pages that contain your personal information including your credit card information. You can tell that you are on a secured page by the URL displayed on your browser:

• If it shows "https://" instead of the regular "http://" that page is secure.
• Also if you see an unbroken key or lock image (depending on what type of browser you have), then you know you are in secure mode.

Additional security measures have been taken so that your credit card information is deleted from our servers after 30-days of your transaction to further protect your privacy.

As a result of the Fair Credit Billing Act, your credit card issuing bank cannot hold you liable for more than $50 of any fraudulent charges. If your bank does hold you liable for any of this $50, Shimmer & Stone Jewelry will cover the entire liability for you -- up to $50 -- IF unauthorized use of your credit card occurs through no fault of your own from purchases made at www.shimmerandstone.com via our secure server.
