Order Processing Time

Shimmer & Stone takes 1-2 business days to process (quality check, polish and pack) all orders. Once you place your order online or over the phone, you will receive an email confirming receipt of your order.

Non-engraved Orders

  • Orders that have no engraved items, take 1-2 business days to process before being picked up for shipment.

Engraved Orders

  • Orders that include items that require engraving or personalization require 2-3 business days to process before being picked up for shipment.

Please make allowances for the above processing times when estimating your approximate delivery time based on the shipping option your choose as follows:

Estimated Delivery = Processing Time + Shipping Transit Time

Import Customs, Fees and Duties

Any orders shipped from the U.S.A. are subject to customs duties, taxes and brokerage fees which are payable by the recipient (customer) on delivery. Unfortunately, we cannot determine in advance what these charges will be as they are established by your country's customs & excise board.

Customs duty on imports are determined by the value (purchase price) of the merchandise and it's import tax classification. Most goods arriving from the United States are subject to any or all of the following imports charges:

  • Customs Duty (Import Duty)
  • Excise Duty
  • Import VAT (Value Added Tax)
  • Brokerage and/or Processing Surcharges

Important Note: The recipient (customer) is responsible and legally obliged to pay any and all import duties, taxes and/or brokerage charges that are incurred on the package you receive. It is your full responsibility to verify the customs, duties charges and procedures prior to placing your order.

Acceptance of a package and refusal to make payments on any levied duties, taxes and/or customs charges may result in customs & excise board contacting Shimmer & Stone. To comply with customs regulations, we will charge your credit card accordingly for the outstanding payments plus any interest or penalty that may apply.

Returns and Exchanges

We want you to be completely satisfied with your order from Shimmer & Stone. If you are unhappy with your purchase, you have 30-days from the receipt of your order to send it back for a complete refund of the purchase price paid as per your invoice.

Please be advised that if you are returning an order, you are responsible for all return shipping charges from your country in addition to all duties, taxes and customs fees that may be imposed on your return.

Should there be outstanding charges pending on your return shipment those fees will be deducted from the your refund total before your credit is issued.

Please allow 2-5 business days to process your refund once it has been received.

Please Note: Engraved items cannot be returned

Engraved items

Engraved items CANNOT be returned and are not covered by our 30-day return policy. We do, however, guarantee our engraving and will re-engrave or replace your order if we have made an error by either (i) having engraved your order incorrectly, i.e. differently to the engraving stated in your order or (ii) if the engraved item you have received is structurally damaged or defective.

Order Tracking

Once your order has been picked up by USPS for shipment you will receive an automated email notification confirming the shipment of your order and detailing your tracking number.

This tracking number will allow you to follow the progress of your order in transit online until it reaches it's destination.

Tracking your Order Online: Click on the link in your shipment confirmation email, which will take you directly to our web site where you can review your order details and view the shipment status of your order. You can also view specific details of your shipment via the USPS web site (http://www.usps.com)

Payment Options

Shimmer & Stone ONLY accepts checkout through PayPal™ for all international orders shipping to the countries listed.

You can either use your PayPal™ account if you have one or use your VISA, MasterCard, Discover or American Express credit card to make payment through PayPal™.

To checkout:

The PayPal Checkout Process:

Checking out using PayPal™ is as simple as checking out directly through Shimmer & Stone. The reason we utilize PayPal™ is because our regular checkout process cannot process international credit cards.

PayPal Checkout

Once you click on the PayPal™ button, you will be taken to the Shimmer & Stone PayPal™ payment page where you can submit your payment information. Your credit card will not be charged at this point.

Once you review your payment information you will be taken back to the Shimmer & Stone site to complete the checkout process where you will enter your shipping information, coupon code (if applicable) and email address.

Once completed you will be asked to review your order and the SUBMIT your order. Once done you will see your order number on screen and receive an email confirming your order, detailing your invoice details for your reference and records.
