1. What grade of silver are your men's bracelets made from?

Our men's silver bracelets are all crafted from solid .925 sterling silver (i.e. no hollow links or hollow body structure), designed to have a balanced thickness and weight to allow for comfortable wear and durability.

What is "Sterling" Silver?

Sterling silver is an alloy of silver containing 92.5% by weight of silver and 7.5% by weight of other metals, usually copper. The sterling silver standard has a minimum millesimal fineness of 925, which is why it is often referred to as .925 Sterling Silver

Fine silver (which is 99.9% pure) is generally too soft for producing large functional objects such as jewelry; therefore, the silver is usually alloyed with copper to give it strength, while at the same time preserving the ductility and beauty of the precious silver metal.

2. Will my silver bracelet tarnish?

Chemically speaking, silver is not very reactive - it does not react with oxygen or water at ordinary temperatures, so does not easily form a silver oxide. However, as pure (99.9% pure) silver is too soft to produce functional jewelry the other metals in the alloy (which makes silver "sterling silver"), usually copper, may react with oxygen in the air, and oxidize - which we refer to as tarnishing.

Each of our sterling silver bracelets are treated with a slight coating of 'anti-tarnish' to prevent tarnishing. But like all authentic sterling silver jewelry, oxidization (or tarnishing) due to exposure of the acidity in the air does take place over time. However, getting rid of the tarnish is relatively simple and can be done by wiping the bracelet vigorously with a dry soft cloth.

It is important to note, that silver jewelry will tarnish very much faster if exposed directly to acidic or alkali substances (e.g. perfume sprayed directly on the item or if worn while taking a shower) and if stored in direct sunlight.

Silver also tends to tarnish very rapidly on certain people due to high acidity levels in their sweat. There is no adverse physical effect, but the acidity will cause very rapid tarnishing and turn silver items worn close to the skin black in color.

3. How do I clean and care for a silver bracelet?

Cleaning:

Mild Tarnishing: To clean your silver bracelet, simply use any soft cloth and vigorously rub the bracelet - the tarnishing will come off relatively easily.

Warning: Be careful not to use hard or textured fabric (like a dishwashing cloth, for example) as that will cause scratching of the silver.

Heavy Tarnishing: If tarnishing is very apparent and is not coming off easily, which may happen as your bracelet gets older, or if your sterling silver comes into contact with a tarnishing agent (perfume, chlorine, ammonia etc.) jewelry cleaner (or silver cleaners are widely available at any drugstore for around $5.00 - $6.00. Simply dip your bracelet in the solution and wipe it clean with a soft cloth.

Storage:

To care for your bracelet, store it in it's box or in a drawer so that it is not exposed to light for extended periods when you are not wearing the bracelet. Also avoid spraying perfume directly on the bracelet as that will also cause tarnishing. Also do not bathe with your silver on, as soap and shampoo can cause tarnishing, if the item is not properly dried off.

4. How do I get an idea as to the weight of a silver bracelet?

The approximate weight of each bracelet we carry is stated on the item page on our website. The weight is listed in grams, and reflects that of the entire bracelet.

As imagining the weight of something without being able to feel it is difficult, for comparison, we recommend the following simulation:

1. A quarter coin (25 cent), weighs approximately 5.67 grams.
2. If an item weighs 34 grams for example . . . it would be close to the weight of 6 quarters.

5. Can I get a silver bracelet engraved online?

Yes you can submit your engraving online. Several of our men's bracelets can be engraved in various ways dependant on the bracelet itself. Please refer to engraving details for that specific bracelet on it's item page.

To submit your engraving simply type in your text - as you would like it to appear - in the fields provided on the item page. Select your preferred font style and orientation then click the add to shopping bag button.

Each bracelet has different engraving options. You can find the engraving details for each bracelet on it's item page. You can locate and click on the 'View Engraving Details' Link (*) under the description and specifications of the item on the right-hand-side of the item page.

Submitting your engraving text:

To submit your engraving, type in your text as you would like it to appear engraved in the field provided on the item page. You can also:

6. How long does it usually take to engrave a bracelet?

Engraving usually takes 2 to 3 business days before an engraved order is shipped out.

8. If I am not happy with a silver bracelet, can I return it?

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you are unhappy with your purchase (AND, IF IT HAS NOT BEEN ENGRAVED OR PERSONALZED) you have up to 30-days (from receipt of your order) to return your bracelet for a full refund of it's purchase price as per your invoice*. Shipping charges and/or taxes will not be refunded.

* Returned items will only qualify for a refund only if they are returned in their original, undamaged condition with it's packaging intact. Should an item be returned after wear and shows visible scratches and discoloration due to use, the return will not qualify for a refund, even if it is sent back.

9. What if is there is an error with my engraving?

OUR SATISFACTION GUARANTEE:

Although engraved items CANNOT be returned . . . if we have made an error with your engraving ( i.e. if the engraving is different to what you have requested on your order) we will re-engrave another bracelet for you and ship it out to you at no additional cost, along with a pre-paid shipping box to send back the incorrectly engraved item.

10. Will the engraving on my bracelet wear off?

No, our engraving is done by a professional engraver who makes sure that the engraving is appropriately deep enough to be clear and durable so that it will not wear-off.

11. What type of engraving can have done on my bracelet?

We offer different options of engraving on our bracelets, and recommend that you refer to the engraving details on that bracelet's item page. However, in general we offer one type of engraving (Line Engraving) on all men's bracelets.

12. How do I know if a bracelet will fit my wrist?

The length of a bracelet will essentially determine it's fit. Each men's bracelet has it's measured length listed on it's item detail page.

The length reflects the total length (from end to end). Taking a string and wrapping it around your wrist and measuring it for comparison will give you an idea as to what your size would be. All our men's bracelets are designed to industry standard lengths.
