1. How do I submit my engraving text online?

You can submit your engraving text online in the field provided on the item detail page, just above the 'Add to Bag' button as shown >>

MonogramMonogram Engraving: Enter your letters in the order you would like them to appear when engraved. Keep in mind that in a monogram the engraving will appear as shown with the middle initial in a larger size than the first and the last initials.

The traditional format for monograms is used. The formats is as follows:

If the first name's initial is S, second name's initial is S, and surname initial is E . . . the monogram will read SES as shown above. When typing in your monogram your will enter S E S

Text Engraving: Each item has different character limits that are allowed on line. To find out how many characters can be engraved click on the 'VIEW ENGRAVING DETAILS' link to see all details and instructions in a pop-up window.

Engraving Additional Characters: If you would like additional letters engraved past the limit allowed online, please contact customer service toll-free at 1-888-85-STONE, if possible we will accommodate your request. Additional letters being engraved will have a per letter surcharge. Please note that not all engravable items can be engraved with additional letters, but please check with customer service.

Submitting Your Engraving: To submit your engraving text, simply type in your text as you would like it to be engraved. Our engraving department will format the engraving for best fit and engraving will be centered or be aligned as detailed in the Engraving Details page of that item.

Once you receive your email confirmation of your order your engraving information submitted will be detailed. Please review it carefully as what you have submitted will be engraved just as entered. If you require a correction or want a special positioning on your engraving, please either email us or call us toll-free at 1-888-85-STONE

2. Where can I find engraving details about a product?

Engraving details on a product can be found by clicking the 'VIEW ENGRAVING DETAILS' link on the item detail page.

A pop-up window with all details including font selection, images of what the engraving will look like, cost of engraving, orientation of the engraving and character limits that apply to that item can be found**.

** Please Note: Clicking the 'VIEW ENGRAVING DETAILS' link generates a pop-up window. Due to many browsers having pop-up blockers installed, this window may be blocked from opening. Please disable your pop-up blocker for this site -or- hold down the CTRL key while clicking the image which will manually bypass the pop-up blocker and open the new window.

3. What type of fonts can I get engraved?

We offer a range of fonts that can be used to engrave our pendants. However, each pendant has a limitation of font styles that are allowed for engraving.

The limitation is due to the nature of the pendant's construction and also to maintain it's stylization and balance once engraved. The fonts allowed for engraving on a particular item can be found by clicking on the 'VIEW ENGRAVING DETAILS' link on the item detail page.

If there is a selection of fonts allowed for a particular pendant you can select the type of font you would like from the drop-down menu on the item detail page.

4. How long will it take to get a pendant engraved and shipped out to me?

Regular engraving takes 1-2 business days to process for orders received before 11am (EST).

For example: if an order is placed on Monday for engraving . . . the item will ship out on Wednesday evening or Thursday morning).

From that time, it will take the number of days as specified by your selected shipping option - i.e. Free Ground (5 - 7 business days), 3-Day Shipping (3 business days), 2-Day Shipping (2 business days), Next Day Shipping (1 business day).

Special Engraving Requests: If you require special engraving - (we offer custom engraving - e.g. special line drawn logos, drawings etc. on certain dog tags, pendants and charm bracelets) it will take additional time to create the plates necessary to process that engraving (e.g. 2 to 7 business days).

5. If I am not happy with my order can I return it?

Yes you can IF THE PENDANT HAS NOT BEEN ENGRAVED. If you purchase an item with no engraving or personalization, and you are unhappy with it you have up to 30-days (from receipt of your order) to return your order for a full refund of the purchase price as per your invoice**.

Unfortunately and shipping or taxes will not be refunded. For more details please review our 30-day return policy.

Please note that ENGRAVED and/or PERSONALIZED pendants CANNOT BE RETURNED.

** If an engraved item is received and it is incorrectly engraved (i.e. different from what you have specified in your order) or if the item is structurally damaged, we will replace that item with a brand new one engraved to your specifications.

Returned non-engraved items will only qualify for a refund only if they are returned in their original, undamaged condition with it's packaging intact. Should an item be returned after wear and shows visible scratches and discoloration due to use, the return will not qualify for a refund, even if it is sent back.

6. Do you guarantee the quality of your engraving?

Yes we do. Shimmer & Stone guarantees that the engraving will be done exactly to your specified instructions as per your order. If a mistake has been made on any engraving or if the item is received with any structural damage we will immediately replace that item with a newly engraved one.

We use a highly experienced engraving staff and guarantee that all engraving is done so that it is deep enough for visibility and longevity of the engraving.
